First Battle

Rose was walking by a river Riptide in her arms. This was her week to take care of the Xepup and as always she was taking a walk with him. Turning, Riptide looked a Rose and said

Can I battle with another yogpet?

Rose looked down at him and laughed, "Well it sure took you awhile to ask. But are you sure you're up to it?"

I don't know, but I still want to try. I heard its fun and I want to get stronger

"Well I have no objections, but where am I supposed to look?"

Oh come on! I'm raring to go again!
Grey rolls into Color's leg, attempting at convincing the trainer that it'd be a good idea to have yet another battle in the same day. I don't know if that's a good idea Grey... Beginners luck, remember? Grey huffs, clearly irritated. Beginner,shminner, I'm pro! did you see the moves i pulled? Color nods. You did do good... Ok. Fine. One more but that's it, ok? Now, where to, oh.

Color looks ahead to see a trainer talking to a Xepup.

Hello? Color asks, hoping they'll want to battle.

Rose and riptide turn in surprise. Riptide bounces up and down.

Hey look that's a Benjpup

"Yes, well isn't that convenient" Rose said eyes wide. Riptide runs right up to the trainer and his Benjpup and looks up at then with big eyes

Want to battle!

Is that not what we came here for?! Of course!Grey replies sassily. Grey, you must learn to be more polite! Color pats him on the head. Alrighty then! let's get this started! Grey smirks devilishly Your Move.

"Ok. Riptide lets start slow and see what he does."

Riptide charged at Grey and tackled him as hard a he could.

Riptide is sent flying, but manages to stay upright.

"Careful Riptide. I think it's time to use Torrent."

Riptide backs up a few paces into the river and shoots a stream of water at Grey.

Grey rams into Riptide!

The hit sends Riptide into deeper water. He stays afloat, but the current makes in difficult for him to reach Grey, so he uses Torrent again. Without solid ground to stand on, the move throws him into even deeper water.
(The move doesn't make full contact, so if the number's too high you can lessen the damage)

Grey struggles to get back up with his low health, the pipe atop his head steaming.

I know this is risky, but use your magic!

Riptide finally climbed out of the water. He was exhausted, but see that Grey was on his last legs as well gave him a burst of energy. Mustering all his strength Riptide tackled Grey.

(You can decide whether Riptide takes off 1 or 2 points)

Grey pushes forward, stumbling slightly, but nudges Riptide, falling over shortly afterward. Color rushes forward Grey! Well done! Not bad for a first battle. Color exclaims. Grey groans. Nice... ugh... fight.


We never decided the prize!

Rose went and picked up the exhausted Riptide who was close to collapsing himself.

"Prize? What for?" she said and look at Riptide asked, "Did you have fun?"

Yes. It was amazing and Grey is very strong

Riptide closed his eyes and fell asleep, snoring contently. Rose laughed, "If having your pet fight and win a battle isn't the ultimate prize, I don't know what is."

Color laughs in returnI guess you're right!It was an intense battle. He isn't that bad himself! That water attack he did was killer

Thanks for such a great battle. Maybe this will teach Grey something Color pets him.

"Yeah that battle really kept me on my toes. I thought we lost it for sure when Grey's magic attack hit! But I really should get Riptide rested up. See you"

Rose was about to walk away when she remembered something and turned around, "Oh, I never caught your name!"
