Open battle with Cronite!

Not letting this attack get her twice, Pepper jumps out of the way in time.
"Now, again with Mist Daze!"
The mist fills the arena and Pepper charges at Cronite from behind.

"Cronite! Are you alright?" Nick worriedly asks his Cryspup.
"I'll be alright in a second..."

A blue aura appears around Cronite. The aura goes away leaving Cronite, with more health than before.

Pepper breathes in and out slowly in deep thought about what strategy to take.
"These two sure are strong, but we just need to stay on top. Use Frost!" Lydia advises.
Focusing, Pepper calls upon her powers of ice for an element bonus.

Ice crystals rise up around Cronite, and he takes 25 damage.

Cronite flinches in pain, with seven health left, he's not having much luck. Cronite decides to heal again, if he doesn't, he might have some issues.

And he's still having issues...

"This could be the end." Lydia breathes out, noticing how tired her opponent appears. "You know what to do, Pepper."
Using this time, Pepper freezes the air around her with Wind Chill, creating large, light shards of ice, and hurls them toward Cronite.

"Cronite!" Nick said worriedly, running to his Cryspup, as he collapsed to the ground, "You alright?"
"Bleeeh" the Cryspup groaned.
"I have no idea what that means, but I'm gonna get you fixed up, alright?" Nick said as he picked up Cronite. "Anyways, congrats Lydia. You won. You put up a real good battle."

(O.O I just realized, during this entire battle, neither of us counted our defense... Oh, well!)

(whoops)

"Thank you, friend." Lydia smiles toward Nick. "You put up a tough fight, as well. I hope you go far in the next tournament, and maybe we'll see each other again."
Pepper chimes in, "Good luck in the next tournament Cronite. I'll cheer for you."
"Welp, I'll be seeing you." Lydia picks up Pepper and prepares to depart.
