Friendly Training

Pan walked calmly through an empty section of the park, Ruben nestled in her hood.

We should really practice fighting. One day I might need it.

Pan nodded, the strangeness of their mental connection getting less-so by the day.

"We've been tiptoeing around it enough, I guess." She sighed. It wasn't really what she wanted to do, but Ruben was right. If something happened, he'd have to defend himself.

Brit glanced over to the two, looking at Click. "Well... i think we need training... Let's ask!" The girl said and walked over to Pan and Ruben.

"Hello! Want to battle?" She asked.

Click looked to the other pup and waved excitedly. "83!"

Pan glanced up, then smiled slightly.

"Sure thing. Do you want to go first, or should we?" She watched Ruben as he jumped down, excited for his first battle, "Alright, take it easy. Don't go too over the top."

"You got it."

"I'll let you take the first strike!" Brit replied happily and moved to the side. Click jumped down and grinned excitedly. "Be careful now, Click!"

"Ready! 8D!" He chirped and bounced on the spot.

"Alright, you asked for it!"
Ruben charged forwards, aiming to headbutt Click.

Click yelped out and was knocked back by the tackle, flipping over and stopping.
He then hopped up quickly and bounce up.

Ruben skid back, regaining his balance quickly and returning to bite click quickly

Click yelped again. He managed to move away from the biting Yogpet and frowned slightly.

He took in some air.

"Shock Bolt!" He called out and released electricity towards Ruben.

"Ow!" Ruben cursed under his breath - these fights hurt! But adrenaline had the better of him, and he went in for another bite.

Behind him, Pan watched, nervous. How would he take this match? Would he gloat too much, or be nice about it?

Click yelped and moved back, making sure the bite didn't ruin the neckerchief around his small body. He glanced to Ruben and went in for a head on tackle.

Brit bit her lip. Click seemed serious... Well it was the first battle... so she guess there would be nerves.

Ruben grinned cheekily, before closing his eyes tightly, and reaching within him. He'd practised before, and hoped it would work this time. Suddenly his eyes flew open, glowing slightly from magic, and he let out a deep roar, "HEADACHE PULSE!"

Ruben and Pan are the Winners!

Ruben pants heavily, tired. "That... was fun..." He grinned, but his ears drooped, "Oh god I'm so tired..."

Pan laughed, scooping up her friend in her arms and hugging him. "Good one, little guy." She whispered, before heading over to Click and Brit. "Sorry about all this. At least it's good practice. You should make your way over to Dr. Chase's to get the pup checked over."
