Dew jumps out of the way, nervous. The lightning wasn't helping him at all, and it was no use to use it as a weapon, seeing as how this Pet was... how did Jenny describe them... an Electric type. Dew! It's fine! Just slice and dice! Got it! Remembering that fight from so long ago, Dew leaped forwards quickly, ready to slice at the Volpup, noticing that the sword had scared him a bit and helping to boost his confidence... ever so slightly.
After jumping back again just before being hit, Tea noticed Dew was having trouble of his own at landing attacks. He looked to the sky and back to Dew's sword, wondering if the new additions to the battle had anything to do with their shared bad luck. Thinking it over calmed Tea slightly, and he prepared to strike once more, thinking that the third time would be the charm.
46-5= 41 Dewpup rolled backwards a bit. This was beginning to be VERY annoying. He couldn't land a hit on him, and all because of a bunch of scary, loud noises throwing his aim off! Frustrated, he charged again, ready to slice at the feathered foe! (C'mon Dew, you can do it! It's only the noise that's throwing you off! Ignore it!)
59-4=55 Volpup tries to duck out of the way of Dew's blade, but he is not fast enough. Thankfully he is not harmed too badly and, with his confidence on the rise once more, charges in again to see if he can get a square hit and deal some serious damage.
Dewpup dodges the attack with confidence. Surprising how a single move can change a person's perspective, and the third time really was the charm. However, he sensed that the aura was fading, fast. He'd only be able to do two more attacks before it was gone; he'd learned from experience. This time, instead of charging, he seems to compress tightly, then jumps high, angling the aural sword downwards to slice. (Go, Dew!)
Tea chirps to himself once after simply sidestepping the attack, then wastes no time and attempts to hit Dew while he is close, possibly taking him by surprise if he moves fast enough.
41-9=32 Dew squeaks from surprise from the impact and is sent flying, however he manages to land upright, if in the arms of his owner, who quickly sets him down. Dew, last chance! Attack! Give it your all! Got it! Leaping forwards, Dew quickly reaches his opponent, then rushes at him, doing a maneuver with the sword that can only be described as a spin attack. (:O_o: Welp... that works...)
55-8=47 The squawk that arises from Tea as he is hit scares even himself, and a slight blush of embarrassment appears on his face and he prepares to attack again. Trying to think of a different approach, Volpup comes up with himself jumping in front of Dew, faking a charge, and then leaping over him to try and hit from behind while Dew recovers from the shock. It is a risky plan, but he decides to go for it, especially now that that darn blade is gone...
32-9=21 Dewpup yells out of surprise from the attack as he tumbles and lands a good distance away, proceeding to burrow down and dig up clumps of dirt, managing to get two off. Come on, Dew!!
47-4=43 Tea yelps once more when he nearly doesn't dodge the first attack, seeing how powerful it is. He does not recover in time from the shock to not be hit by the second clump, which thankfully doesn't hurt as much as he expected the first to. Angered slightly with the mud on his face, Tea blindly runs forward once more for a nice peck. (If you do preview, you'll notice that the battle phases are erased... Is that what you're doing?)
